Lavender tour

Lavender is an herb used in skin and beauty products, but also has therapeutic and aroma therapeutic effect. It reduces headaches, insomnia and heals wounds.
Hvar island is well known for the lavender fields and they are still is an important part of the island’s agricultural production even though devastating fires in 1995 and economy reduced the investments. Even nowadays, rough terrains, organic production and harvesting lavender by hand really differentiate Hvar’s lavender from others.
In this half-day tour we will visit Velo Grablje, the origin of famous growers and enthusiasts that even celebrate this small purple bush in June (Lavender festival). On our next stop, in the central part of the island, we will discover about the process of harvest and lavender oil production. There, you will have a chance to buy original lavender souvenirs and products that will forever remind you of one of the most beautiful and fragrant islands in the world.
